The Bewaerschole in Burgh-Haamstede is an exhibition space for contemporary art, housed in a historic building from 1873/1874. The building was a nursery school: until 1956 it was where the young children of Burgh and Haamstede went. After that it had other uses, including a gymnasium and a post office. Exhibitions have been held here since 1975, with themes that invite reflection, imagination and social debate. And it is right next to the holiday home.
