Boswachterij Westerschouwen, together with the dunes, forms the largest forest in Zeeland. The nature reserve on Kop van Schouwen is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. You walk from pine forest into the dunes. Some of the pines are around a hundred years old and originally came from Corsica and Austria. In the quiet parts you will see groups of fallow deer, as well as roe deer and woodpeckers.
