Museum De Burghse Schoole is in a former school building in the centre of Burgh-Haamstede. One room is set up as a 1920s classroom, with ink pens and a blackboard. In another room you discover the history of the Kop van Schouwen and the Carolingian ring fortress, which offered protection against the Vikings in the ninth century. A changing exhibition usually covers a Kop van Schouwen topic.
